Instagram Photography Project

First photograph in my new #MMMPhotoProject #photographyproject. I have a list from #flowbooks that I am using as a scavenger hunt of sorts.

I love a good project! And I've done several photography projects over the years including a Project365 which was amazing. This one, though, is a little shorter. I am currently working through a book called A Book of Time from Flow Books (more about that in another post). One of the exercises in the book is about observation and includes a visual checklist -- things to look for and to notice. I decided to turn it into a photography challenge. 

I hope you'll join me!

How to participate: 

1. Take a picture of one of the items on the list. Go in any order -- after all, frogs and falling leaves don't cross our paths every single day!
2. Post the photo to Instagram with the tag #MMMPhotoProject.
3. Follow #MMMPhotoProject to see everyone's images!

Welcome to Mid Modern Mama

I am so excited to welcome you to my newest website | journal | blog | creative space: Mid Modern Mama!

For years I have blogged at Pining for Rome (and the unfortunately-named Gypsy's Guide before that). As a mama who doesn't end up in Italy as often as I would like, I needed a place with a wider scope -- a place where I can write about the plants I am growing, my experiments with art journaling, organizing closets, and what I love about being home as well as my travels. Here it is!

Last year we bought a cute little house that needs a lot of love and work, so I will be writing all about that, too. It is an Atomic Ranch house from 1958! So here I am -- Mid Modern Mama! Thanks for joining me on my new adventure!
