Easter Table Setting Ideas
Beautiful Spring Tablescape Inspiration
I love a beautiful table, and ours changes seasonally. By the time we get to Easter, I am so ready for a spring palette — pastels, flowers, and lots of green. Often my table brings the spring joy before the garden does!
Easter is the perfect time to refresh your table with light, color, and a touch of seasonal charm. Whether you're hosting a big family brunch or just need a touch of spring inside, a thoughtfully styled tablescape makes the season feel even more special.
The good news? You don’t need elaborate decorations—just a few intentional details can create a beautiful spring setting.
Start with a Fresh, Spring
Color Palette
Soft pastels are a classic choice for Easter, but I always mix in fresh greens, crisp whites, or sometimes even pops of brighter florals for a more modern look. Think blush pink napkins, pale blue plates, or a simple white tablecloth layered with natural textures like linen or woven placemats.
Create a Simple, Seasonal Centerpiece
Your centerpiece sets the tone for the entire table. A vase of fresh spring flowers cut from the garden —like tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, or blooming trees —instantly brings life and color to your space. For a more playful look, try adding a bowl of decorated eggs or a small arrangement of moss and branches for a natural, garden-inspired feel.
Layer Your Place Settings
Layering adds depth and elegance without much effort. Start with a charger or placemat, add your dinnerware, and finish with a neatly folded napkin. You can tuck a small decorative egg, a sprig of greenery, or even a handwritten name card on top for a personal touch. Personally, I have a collection of vintage bottles which are perfect for placing a fresh-cut flower at each plate.
Add Natural Elements
Bringing the outdoors in is key for a spring tablescape. Incorporate greenery, wooden accents, or even small potted plants at each place setting. Not only do they look beautiful, but they can double as take-home favors for guests.
Growing your own Easter grass is a cheap and easy way to make your table festive! You just need to plan ahead because this takes about two weeks.
Materials:
Wheat Grass Seed or Cat Grass Seed
Peat-free potting mix
Vermiculite
A pretty pot — or several
A tray for water
How to Grow Your Own Easter Grass
Materials:
Fill the pots with peat-free potting mix.
Sprinkle the grass seed liberally over the top of the pots.
Cover with a light layer of vermiculite.
Place the pots in the tray and fill the tray with water. This will keep the soil hydrated hastening germination.
You should have sprouts in 3-5 days and the grass should be tall and lovely within 10-14 days. Easy!
Keep It Light and Inviting
Easter tables should feel fresh and welcoming—not overly formal. Use soft lighting, like candles or natural daylight, and avoid overcrowding the table. Leaving a little breathing room helps each element stand out.

Finish with Thoughtful Details
Small touches can make a big impact. Tie napkins with ribbon, use pastel glassware, or add subtle Easter-themed accents like bunnies or eggs. These details bring everything together without overwhelming the overall look.
I don’t have a lot of Easter decorations. Just a few chosen items that I can mix with antiques and plants for looks that change year to year. But those bunnies and eggs are delightful touches no matter how I arrange them.
at the close…
Creating a beautiful Easter table doesn’t require a lot of time or expense—just a bit of creativity and a focus on seasonal elements. I hope these simple ideas, inpsire you to set a table that feels fresh, festive, and perfectly suited for celebrating spring.
