Materials

  • A square piece of fabric

  • Coordinating ribbon

  • A sewing machine

  • Thread

  • Scissors

  • A seam-ripper

A Note about Fabric:

Napkins make the perfect pouches — they are a great size and the right shape. I have also made these from handkerchiefs which are thin and make very small bags. And my favorite is made from a square tablecloth for a card table — it’s a fabulous size! No matter the size, the methods are the same. You’ll just need a longer length of ribbon.
